Zack the Lego Maniac
Max, the mascot of Twilight Zone magazine. Every issue (I wanted to say every month, but the publication schedule was… erratic, to say the least) brought us high-quality fiction and non-fiction that crossed the lines between horror, science fiction, and fantasy with gleeful abandon. It lasted from 1981 to 1989, and it has never really been replaced in my affections.
As long as I’m thinking about theater signs… here’s a great photo of the North Park, in Buffalo. I miss those sprung seats and the smell of coffee, popcorn, and muffins all mixed together.
Another view of the Stovall sign. Same trip. (Why yes, I am cleaning out my box of old CDs. Why do you ask?)
The Stovall theater, Sayre, OK. 2003? 2004? I don’t remember. I had a good time playing with Photoshop (version… 4? 5? Whatever was the not-quite-latest version in 2003). I think the sign was down for restoration last time we were there. Maybe next time we go through it will be restored. Hurray!!
Cars smaller than the Smart Car? Yep, we’ve got photos to prove it — All Aboard! Really, Really Small Cars
